After a steady stream of visitors yesterday, the atmosphere remains upbeat at the FlowerTrials. Today is day three and the sun is shining, a welcome boost for the plants on the outdoor displays, even if it's causing the temperatures in the greenhouses to climb. Then again, growers are no strangers to a little heat.
So, what are the 56 participating companies showcasing? BPnieuws and FloralDaily are on-site to find out and capture it all in our photo report, which we'll publish this coming Monday.

Besides new and striking colors, several plant characteristics keep coming up across the various highlights being presented. Which ones? Compact growth, robustness, disease resistance, uniformity, early and long flowering - just to name a few. In short, characteristics that make a plant appealing and efficient for every link in the chain: from grower to retailer, and ultimately, the end consumer. More on that later!

Delishow
And beyond the FlowerTrials, there are plenty of other events happening this week as well, including Deliflor's Delishow, which is drawing visitors from both the Netherlands and abroad, from India to Ecuador. But also Orchid Inspiration Days, De Ruiter Innovations Open Days, the Open Day at Kwekerij Van Geel and Van Winden, and of course, GreenTech. (See the full list of this week's events here.)
