The demand for climbing roses is increasing sharply, and alongside fragrant varieties, they are among the most sought-after. It was the perfect time for rose breeder Pheno Geno Roses, a Serbian-Dutch company, to introduce a new climbing rose series. At IPM Essen this January, they unveiled their Bridges of Love® collection, consisting of four compact varieties.

Color combination
So what makes the Bridges of Love series so special? "First of all, the color combinations", says Mario Kurt Gigerl, Pheno Geno's Account Manager. On top of that, the varieties are compact with a heigh between 120 and 130 cm and have a flower diameter between 7 and 8cm.
The name – Bridges of Love
And why the name Bridges of Love? Gigerl: "The collection symbolizes the deep connections we forge in life, like bridges that unite us and allow us to overcome all obstacles. Each rose in this collection represents a unique bridge, leading us to a different aspect of love: romance, mystery, wonder, and dreams. Just like the bridges that unite distant places, these roses create pathways to beauty, filling your garden with vibrant colors and heartfelt emotions."
4 varieties
So which 'Brideges' are in the collection? "There are currently four varieties, namely bright red variety Bridge of Romance™, pink blended Bridge of Secrets™, Bright purple Bridge of Stars™, and orange blend Bridge of Dreams™. These roses are not only breathtaking to behold but also serve as a reminder that love, in all its forms, is the ultimate bridge that connects us."
Availability
The collection is available throughout Europe, and one variety is also available in the USA under the name Rise Up Emberays®.
Positive response
Launched in January at IPM Essen in Germany, the varieties have already received a lot of positive feedback, according to Gigerl. "We are very pleased with the response—it motivates us to introduce even more varieties in the future."
