The team of Suntory Flowers just returned from a global meeting at Suntory Flowers in Japan. The meeting brought together their divisions from five different countries – Japan, USA, Australia, China and The Netherlands. "It was a great opportunity to share what we're doing in each market and the latest trends, plus get a preview of the new varieties in the breeding pipeline. Our garden barbecue featured delicious locally famous kobe beef that melts in your mouth and Suntory beverages."

They also visited the Suntory World Research (SWR) Center in Kyoto, which opened in 2015. SWR houses Suntory Wellness Limited, Safety Science Institute (Suntory Holdings Limited), Suntory Global Innovation Center Limited, and Bioorganic Research Institute (Suntory Foundation for Life Sciences). SWR is at the cutting edge of global research in the pursuit of superior flavor and taste, health science, botany, water science, sustainability.

Shopping in Kyoto
After they visited the Suntory World Research Center, they stopped by a nearby garden center to see their plants. "Branded flat-talker signage is common, as well has having a larger mannequin plant for sale next to the smaller plants, so the consumer can see what the plant will become. In Japan, Suntory has a contract grower network and a sales force with retail accounts. Would love to have that vertical integration in the USA."
Osaka Expo 2025
Suntory Holdings is a sponsor of Osaka Expo 2025, a world's fair hosted by a different country every 5 years. This year's Expo has one unifying theme: "Designing Future Society For Our Lives." Nearly 160 countries participated in the exhibition, which runs through October 13th. It's encircled by a grand ring that just won the Guinness World Record for the largest wooden architectural structure. Escalators take you to the top to stroll beautiful landscapes overlooking the water.
