April was characterised by a lower volume of work than in 2025, for both clock and direct sales. April had one fewer auction day than the previous year. This was because King's Day fell on a weekday (Monday) this year. No auctions were held on that Monday. Consequently, the Tuesday following King's Day was very busy.
There were many (Auction Presales) transactions, compounded by an unfortunate logistical disruption in Aalsmeer. Despite an (extra) early auction day, delivery times remained challenging at the Aalsmeer site by the end of the day. Overall, logistical performance was good.

What went well
The availability of packaging and trolleys was good. Auction uptime was also high: 99.96%. Furthermore, delivery reliability was high, meaning that deliveries were carried out correctly.
What could have gone better
During the logistical disruption on the day after King's Day, performance regarding the timeliness of deliveries from Aalsmeer was lower.
What is the outlook for May?
With the usual Mother's Day celebrations approaching, May is traditionally a busy month and volumes continue to rise. This year, May has two fewer auction days than 2025. Ascension Day falls two weeks earlier this year than in 2025. Furthermore, Whitsun fell in June last year, but this year it falls in May. Combined with the French Mother's Day, this is expected to lead to extra activity. The Tuesday after Pentecost (26 May) is therefore an early auction day.
