Bernadette Raulf of New Plants Mortil:

"Strong interest for summer pot plants at FlowersExpo Russia"

Cut flowers make up a large percentage of the Russian market at the moment. However, according to Bernadette Raulf of New Plants Mortil, this might change in the future as the generation Y will discover summer pot plants as a new trend. "Last week, at the FlowersExpo in Moscow, we already saw a strong interest for Diamantina®," she says.

Diamantina Opale Citrine

Diamantina® is a collection of dipladenia varieties bred by DHM, a French breeder. "This plant combines important aspects for commercializing like suitability for flower beds, for large containers (patio), for hanging baskets, for trellis and other plant supports. The flowers are elegant and in the largest range of colours and types on the market now. They tolerate some dryness and sunlight all over the summer up to the first frost.” - One of their varieties, Diamantina Opale Citrine was awarded as the best innovation at the IPM in 2011. At the FlowersExpo 2015 in Moscow, the Diamantina® varieties were showcased at the Greneth Plants booth.
