"Noordam Plants has chosen to focus on five ornamental crops; Celosia, Brassica, Antirrhinum, Campanula and Mathiolla," says Jan Noordam, account manager at the potted young plant nursery.
It is a conscious decision. The company is scaling up and Jan expects that the future will lie in the summer flower segment. "This segment offers growth opportunities and we are going along with this trend."
The greenhouse.
Noordam plants cultivates vegetables and ornamental plants in a 16 ha sized greenhouse. These crops need to be cultivated in different climatological conditions. Therefore these crops are being cultivated seperately in different climatological zones.
