With an increase in visitors compared to the previous year, an all-round positive atmosphere and exciting discussions, the FlowerTrials were a success for Selecta One.
Feedback such as 'a perfect mix between inspiration and product show', 'convincing plant quality' and 'a tour full of wow moments' emphasised the successful presentation and confirmed Selecta One's strong position as an innovative supplier in the ornamental plant market. The great interest and intensive dialogue with trade visitors, customers and partners once again confirmed the relevance of the innovations and trends presented.
Plant presentations in various pot types and sizes and in CC containers were of particular interest to growers and retail customers, and the numerous 'photo points' provided fun and brand experience at its best – numerous visitors had their photo taken in the chic car of the set-up for double-flowering and uniquely blue Osteospermum 3D Steel Blue, posed in the middle of the colourful sea of Hydrangeas and relaxed in a hanging chair surrounded by impressive SKYfamily Petunias.
RCS 2.0 - Sustainability meets innovation
The FlowerTrials 2025 marked the official sales launch of RCS 2.0, the substrate-free rooting system from Selecta One, which was presented for the first time at IPM 2025. The innovative system combines environmental friendliness, resource conservation and efficiency in a pioneering product: young plants are rooted in biodegradable paper bags – completely without substrate. Customers and numerous other trade visitors were impressed by the system's high degree of innovation and sustainable approach. The positive response emphasises the enormous potential of this innovative young plant product.
One in Dianthus
The clear brand presentations of the top Dianthus varieties Oscar, I❤U, EarlyLove, Purple Wedding, Peach Party and Aura delighted visitors. The Dianthus Flash series in particular, with two new varieties, shone with vibrant blooms and attracted a lot of attention.
The perennial carnations from the Whetman Pinks series, which were presented for the first time, could be admired in a 'English vintage garden'. With their fresh accents, the hardy perennial carnations perfectly round off Selecta's range of carnations from various series with different growth characteristics and colours.
Selecta One presented a very special variety from the Whetman range with a wow factor in its own presentation area: the new It-Girl, which Selecta One entered for this year's FleuroStar Award. With its beautiful bright pink flowers, It-Girl attracts everyone's attention: 'Look at me - I am the one!'. The eye-catching marketing concept has been very well received and is already in demand.
Selecta's successful carnation Pink Kisses continued to make a strong appearance: with the new marketing concept 'pink your friendship', the mini carnation not only presented itself as a blooming eye-catcher, but also as a likeable ambassador for special moments of friendship.
The attractive varieties of the Lucky Lips series, which stand for modern marketing with their innovative marketing concept, also rounded off Selecta's carnation presentation area.
Additions to the range and other highlights
The Early & Compact Pot Petunias Spice Pearls celebrated a strong flowering premiere: a complete series consisting of proven Bonnie and Famous varieties, but also new varieties: very uniform, long shelf life, compact growth that is easy to control. The day length neutrality makes early sales possible.
One of the highlights for southern European customers: the Mandevilla Divina series with its division into Compact, Climbing and Uni varieties, which impress with their growth and magnificent colours and offer special advantages for end products in various shapes and pot sizes.
The mixed pots of the Trixi and Mixbaskets were also eye-catching – a real splendour of flowers consisting of B&B mixes.
Selecta One also presented a special selection of Pot Chrysanthemums that are ideal for year-round production.
Also in the spotlight: the attractive 'Sunny Cities' Hibiscus varieties, which have recently been added to the range. With the acquisition of the marketing rights from Piante Keicher, Selecta One is now also part of the 'Hibiscus Working Group'.
