PerlaNova and HiBreeding present new range of cut hydrangeas

Last week, during the FlowerTrials, HiBreeding presented a new range of cut hydrangeas at the location on Kasteelweg in De Lier, where it showcased its products together with KP Holland. With this expansion of the existing range of potted hydrangeas, the breeder aims to appeal to a broader group of growers.

The introduction of the cut hydrangeas is the result of a close collaboration with breeder PerlaNova Breeding. This renowned breeder, specialized in cut hydrangeas, offers its varieties through the HiBreeding platform. With this, HiBreeding expands its potted hydrangea portfolio with high-quality genetics, further strengthening the successful partnership between the two parties.

Carlo Hoogendoorn, Breeder and Owner of PerlaNova Breeding, says: "In our breeding process, we specifically select for color retention, shelf life, sun tolerance, and resistance to diseases and pests. These traits make our varieties appealing to both consumers and professional growers. Our varieties are marketed under the recognizable brand name 'MyBeautiful'."

Mike van Schie, Product Manager at HiBreeding, says: "The cut flower varieties from PerlaNova Breeding are a valuable addition to our assortment. We are proud to offer this high-quality genetics through our platform. To support this, a clear and comprehensive catalog has been developed, presenting the new cut hydrangeas in detail with product photos and all relevant characteristics for each variety." The varieties are available as young plants upon request for interested growers.
