Looking back on Breeders Avenue at FlowerTrials 2025

With a completely renewed setup and an inspiring route along the green carpet, Breeders Avenue was once again one of the highlights of this year's FlowerTrials®. From 10–13 June, the six participating companies received a great turnout of visitors from across the country and beyond.

High attendance, high energy
This year, Breeders Avenue welcomed trade visitors from more than 70 countries. Visitors appreciated the clear and surprising layout, strong product presentations, and relaxed atmosphere. Valuable conversations took place between breeders, growers, traders, and retail professionals.

"The joint presentation at Breeders Avenue made it easy to see many innovations in a short time. The atmosphere was professional yet accessible – exactly what you hope for at FlowerTrials," said Kathy Verney, Marketing and Product Manager at Ball Straathof.

Innovations in the Novelty Gallery
The first stop on the visit is the Novelty Gallery, a collective showcase that exclusively features the very latest introductions from each breeder. ABZ Seeds presents Queeny and Lizzy, strawberry varieties that combine ornamental value with flavor. Brandkamp introduces Jollies La Grande fuchsias and Ibiza chrysanthemums, known for their colorful and versatile qualities. Hem Genetics offers the new Divinity dianthus series alongside vibrant Shake petunia varieties. Hortinno by Floramor showcases the Rhododendron XXL collection, which includes five large-flowered innovations. Schoneveld Breeding highlights the first-ever blue cyclamen and new Joybera variants in Milkshake and Sunrise forms. Finally, Takii presents the Black Forest Ruby seed dahlia and the award-winning FleuroStar nominee, the digitalis Hanabee F1 White.

These introductions reflect key industry trends such as sustainability, compact growth habits, and smart cultivation strategies – themes that resonate strongly throughout the sector.

Stronger together at one FlowerTrials®-location
Breeders Avenue is an official FlowerTrials® location where breeders come together under one roof for a temporary but powerful collaboration. It is not a stand-alone event, but a joint showcase fully integrated within the FlowerTrials® platform. The six participants combine their strengths at a single strategic location, bringing together the drawing power of six strong brands.
