Our best-read articles of 2025

The new year has started, but before looking forward to what 2026 has to offer, we would like to reflect on 2025. What were the most popular topics? Which articles were the best read?

Photo reports scored well. Coverage of international events such as IPM Essen, IFTF, IFTEX, FlowerTrials, Proflora, Trade Fair Aalsmeer, Cultivate, and the California Spring Trials was widely read. Daily updates published during these events also attracted many readers.

Unfortunately, several challenging stories also ranked high on the list. These included bankruptcies, business closures, and restructurings at companies such as Bunnik Group, Schneider, Paardekooper, and Royal Van Zanten's flower bulb company. Articles on tariffs, trade disruptions, and logistical issues—particularly around the U.S. market and Valentine's Day—also drew strong attention, as did unexpected events like greenhouse damage and seized shipments.

At the same time, positive developments and future-focused stories were well read. Mergers and acquisitions, new strategies, leadership changes, and international expansion—especially in Africa, North America, and Asia—showed that the industry continues to move forward. Innovation, sustainability, and market recovery, along with strong interest in floriculture in countries such as India and Kenya, rounded out the list.

So, are you ready? Below are the 50 best-read articles of 2025.
