Golden medal for Moerheim New Plant at Plantarium 2015

Plantarium 2015 was a successful event for Moerheim New Plant. The Dutch company based in Leimuiderbrug took home a golden medal awarded by the jury of the KVBC (Royal Society of Boskoop Cultures). Novelty ‘Coreopsis KA-POW® Golden Yellow’ was the award winner.

Moerheim New Plant showed this new Coreopsis variety to the public for the first time last week at Plantarium 2015 in Boskoop, the Netherlands. The flowers of the award winner have characteristic deep yellow leaves with a golden glow. The plant also stands out with its strong branching and blooming all through the summer. This makes the plant well suited as a perennial and for being sold in large pots.

The KVBC-jury gave KA-POW® Golden Yellow the following comments: "Outstandingly well-presented plants, striking large flowers in a fresh, attractive colour."

About KA-POW®
KA-POW® is a new line of Coreopsis varieties from Moerheim New Plant. Aside from ‘Golden Yellow’ there are several other varieties with a number of red and white shades. This new line is characterized by its large flowers. The plants are bred by Selection New Plant and Moerheim New Plant from Leimuiderbrug, the Netherlands. Moerheim also takes care of the European distribution.
